Greg’s Story

Head of Clinical Negligence Suzanne Munroe and her team succeeded in securing a life changing settlement for Greg, who sustained a brain injury shortly after he was born. Hospital staff failed to notice that he was struggling to feed properly, and his very low blood sugar caused a seizure which resulted in a serious brain injury. Because of this, Greg suffered from very severe and uncontrolled epilepsy and a permanent neurological disability.

Greg and his family have put part of his settlement towards designing and building a home which is tailored to support him, ensuring that he can live as full a life as possible. Greg and his mum Ann share the story of how we’ve helped in this video.

Medical negligence claims for children and young people

Sometimes, medical negligence affects children and young people. In such cases, we can help parents or carers to claim on their behalf. Injuries sustained at birth or shortly afterwards can have lifelong effects on children, and on the parents who care for them. Conditions like cerebral palsy lead to complex care needs. Compensation can help ensure those needs are met throughout the child’s life.

Clinical negligence solicitor, Suzanne Munroe, and her team have a great deal of experience in birth injury and cerebral palsy claims and have helped families secure millions of pounds in compensation. The compensation these families have received will pay for things like round the clock care and special therapies, throughout the child’s life. The parents also gained peace of mind knowing that their children will be cared for properly when they are no longer able to do so themselves.

Claiming compensation when someone has died

We have helped many families who have lost a loved one due to medical negligence. Medical Negligence Solicitor, Jim Gladman, has represented many families at inquests and assisted them with subsequent medical negligence claims. Many of our Medical Negligence lawyers have specialist expertise in claims involving loss of life. We understand that families who have lost someone due to medical negligence often need to understand what went wrong and why. We can advise and assist you throughout the inquest process, and help you to get the answers you need.

Funding for Medical Negligence cases

Many of our cases are funded using conditional fee agreements (similar to a ‘no win, no fee’ arrangement).  In limited cases, we can offer legal aid for clinical negligence claims.  We can help you explore all the options for funding your medical negligence claim in the best way for you.

If you’d like to talk to one of our Medical Negligence lawyers, in confidence, about making a claim, call us on 0800 138 0458, or complete our contact form and we’ll call you back.
