Our child abuse compensation team have recently represented Fiona, a survivor of child sexual exploitation and grooming in West Yorkshire. Her case forms part of a broader pattern of abuse that targeted vulnerable children in Keighley during the 1990s.

On Tuesday 13 May 2025, three men convicted of child sexual offences in Keighley had their sentences increased by the Court of Appeal after they were found to be unduly lenient.

This is the case of AB, who was involved in child sexual exploitation and grooming in Rotherham, from approximately 11 years of age.  

The ringleader of a gang of men who groomed teenagers in the Bolton area pleaded guilty on 31st March 2025 to a string of sexual offences against teenage girls. 

Three more men have been convicted of sexual offences against children in Rotherham.
