Further arrests have been made in Bradford in connection with an investigation into the historical child sexual exploitation.

This is the case of AB, who was involved in child sexual exploitation and grooming in Rotherham, from approximately 11 years of age.  

It's estimated that over 3,000 children could have been conceived from rape in 2021, in England and Wales.

The ringleader of a gang of men who groomed teenagers in the Bolton area pleaded guilty on 31st March 2025 to a string of sexual offences against teenage girls. 

Six women have now come forward to report sexual abuse as part of an ongoing investigation into abuse by former officers of South Yorkshire Police and a third former officer has now been arrested on suspicion of raping a teenage girl in 2004.

Two men have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms for their roles in the sexual exploitation of children in Rotherham.

Three more men have been convicted of sexual offences against children in Rotherham.

A 92 year old pensioner is one of two people to have appeared at Bradford Crown Court on 19 February. Both Malcolm Philips and Linda Brunning, 65, have been charged with various offences relating to the alleged sexual abuse of children at Skircoat Lodge, Halifax, between the 1970’s and 1990’s.
