On Wednesday, 8th October 2025, our Court of Protection team hosted the annual Mental Capacity Act Conference. This year, marking twenty years since the introduction of the act, we welcomed over 300 professionals from across the country to The Queens Hotel, Leeds.

Switalskis is committed to dementia-friendly legal support, with over 100 colleagues trained as Dementia Friends to better help clients and families.

Switalskis welcomes 14 new trainee solicitors this month, its largest intake to date, reflecting the firm’s ongoing investment in developing talent. The cohort includes two Solicitor Apprentices, who have reached the final two years of their training and therefore moved over to the Qualifying Solicitors Programme, eight solicitor apprentices and four trainee solicitors.
