We are excited to welcome you to our brain injury at birth conference. This event is designed for professionals dedicated to supporting children and families affected by birth-related brain injuries.
Today we will bring together experts from rehabilitation, healthcare, legal, and therapeutic fields to explore how we can work collaboratively to improve client outcomes.
Sam’s story, which will be explored throughout the day, highlights the challenges and multidisciplinary support involved in life after a birth injury. Following a traumatic delivery that led to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE). Sam’s family are navigated through a journey of legal advocacy, case management, education support, and trauma recovery.
The conference will focus on key learning areas, including the legal process, securing effective Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) provisions, and addressing birth trauma and post-traumatic stress. It will also explore the transformative impact of therapies such as music therapy.
Sam’s journey demonstrates the importance of holistic support, resilience, and collaboration in improving outcomes for children with complex needs and their families.
