Last month saw the end of The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (“the Inquiry”) in Lambeth.

Today is the first day of Injury Prevention Week 2020 – a safety awareness initiative run by the non-profit organisation APIL (Association of Professional Injury Lawyers).

On Friday 28th August we will be contributing to a webinar arranged by STEPS Rehabilitation entitled ‘Getting clients home’. The event includes a number of speakers, all with a shared interest in creating the best possible quality of life for people who suffer serious injuries.

On the 25th June 2020, the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Bill became the Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act 2020. 

Like others I have followed the progress of the Historic Abuse Inquiry in Northern Ireland with great interest. I represented dozens of claimants through the Republic’s redress scheme between 2001 and 2005 and know how successful a redress scheme can be.

If you are considering a divorce, any interests that you or your spouse have in a business will need careful consideration. Owning a business – or even being a shareholder – can mean that there is more to think about than if you and your spouse were employed in conventional jobs.
