One of our paralegals has been recognised with a prestigious award at Bradford Law Society’s annual dinner.

Sana Mahmood , who works in our Child Care team has received the Richard Cawthron Memorial Prize, in recognition of her contribution as a rising star in the legal profession.

Razia Jogi , director of Child Care , commented: “Sana had no idea that she was going to be the recipient of this award, in fact as it was her first attendance at a Bradford Law Society dinner, she didn’t even know that such an award existed, and I didn’t tell her.

“It was wonderful to watch Sana's response when the penny dropped that the person being described was her. Sana is truly deserving of this award. She joined the Bradford Care team in September 2022 as a paralegal. She came with enthusiasm to learn, and that enthusiasm has only grown. She is hardworking, ready, willing, and always proves able in terms of whatever task she is presented with.” 

 The award is dedicated to the memory of former Bradford solicitor, Richard Cawthron who died in tragic circumstances almost 30 years ago.

 Sana said: “Receiving the prize was a complete shock, and I am truly honoured by this recognition. I’d like to give special thanks to Razia for her unwavering support and guidance since I joined the firm. I couldn’t have achieved this without her help and encouragement.

 “I look forward to continuing to contribute to the legal field and to giving back to the next generation of lawyers.”

Judges felt that Sana shows all the values associated with the award. They commented on her “wonderful way with vulnerable clients”, and how “she always shows kindness, empathy and compassion.”

Ruth Coneron , director and head of Child Care commented: “Sana is a ray of sunshine in the team. She has a great sense of humour and is very popular. Sana is just a delight to work with.”
