We’re pleased to announce the launch of new drop-in legal advice clinics in West Yorkshire, delivered by our experienced Care teams. In partnership with Kirklees Domestic Abuse Specialist Services (KDAS), the sessions support individuals and families in the local community to access practical, confidential legal advice in a supportive setting.

The free drop-in advice clinics are held on the last Thursday of every month between 1-3pm, at the Greenwood Centre in Ravensthorpe.

Joined by other professional organisations in the area, the clinics are designed to provide an accessible route to legal advice for people facing sensitive or complex family and care-related issues. By removing the need for appointments, the sessions aim to reduce barriers and ensure support is available at an early stage.

Providing accessible support for families and individuals

Through the drop-in clinics, members of our care team are able to offer guidance on a range of matters, including:

  • Domestic abuse
  • Care proceedings
  • Child arrangements
  • Public Law Outline (PLO) meetings
  • Forced marriage
  • Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
  • ·International child abduction

The clinics offer an opportunity for individuals to better understand their legal position and explore available options for further support.

Community-focused legal support

Our specialist care team has extensive experience working with vulnerable individuals and families, and the clinics reflect the firm’s wider commitment to delivering compassionate, community focused legal services. All discussions are handled sensitively and confidentially, with an emphasis on clarity, reassurance and practical guidance.

The care team includes solicitors who speak Urdu, Gujarati and Punjabi, helping to widen access to legal support and ensure advice is accessible to a broader range of communities.
