Rebecca is a solicitor within our Court of Protection Health and Welfare department. Rebecca has over six years’ experience in the legal sector, with three of these within the Court of Protection team.

Rebecca is experienced in Court of Protection matters relating to a person’s health and welfare, including deprivation of liberty and best interests’ decisions, as is committed to safeguarding the rights of the most vulnerable in society.

Areas of her work include:

Advising in respect of health and welfare matters in the Court of Protection
Applications pursuant to s16 and s21A Mental Capacity Act 2005
Accepting instructions from professional Relevant Person's Representative's (RPR’s), family members and the Official Solicitor.

Rebecca is the Chair of the Kirklees and Calderdale Junior Lawyers Division.

Rebecca approaches her work both with enthusiasm and sensitivity, ensuring her clients receive the best level of support and are treat with dignity and respect throughout her cases. Rebecca does her best to ensure that information is explained in a way that is easily understandable by her clients and that she handles with tact and care those issues that are typically delicate and distressing for her client’s.

Supported on s.21a matter for gentleman with acquired brain injury following a car accident, which had concurrent PI proceedings with damages estimated at over £1million
Supported with inherent jurisdiction matter for vulnerable 16 year old
Assisted with complex matter re contact, between long standing married couple with history of domestic violence
Assisted in various matters where P had acute mental health problems
