We're a Lexcel-accredited, top-200 UK law firm with 11 offices across Yorkshire. We were established in 1993 and now employ over 250 staff, including nationally-recognised leaders in certain areas of the law.
Our specialist legal teams help clients throughout Yorkshire and across the UK. Several of our key departments work with very vulnerable clients. Therefore, across the whole business we pride ourselves on providing first-class client care and a deep understanding of our clients' circumstances.
To continue to provide the best possible service, it's essential that we recruit, train and retain a high calibre of legal staff. We regularly recruit trainees and have a strong track record of offering attractive roles at the end of training contracts to keep newly-qualified solicitors within the business.
What you can expect
As a Trainee Solicitor you will spend time working within several of our departments throughout the training contract. This will help you develop a rounded view of the business and the legal profession. You will learn a lot of new skills and information, working alongside experienced, qualified professionals. The people you work with will range from directors through to previous trainees as well as paralegals and admin staff.
The departments that trainees work in will vary, dependent on knowledge, experience and future aspirations within the profession among other factors. As a Lexcel-accredited firm with a strong succession plan, you can be confident that the support you receive as a trainee will be among the very best in the profession.
What we're looking for
When it comes to recruiting new trainees, we look not only for legal knowledge, but for candidates who demonstrate commitment and a good fit with the values of our business. As a growing business, we look for people who demonstrate client focus, good communication skills, and a keen commercial eye.
