Commercial Property Solicitor (1-2 years’ PQE) – Boston Spa

Switalskis are looking for a newly qualified Commercial Property Lawyer to join their expanding commercial department.  The appointment will be based at our Boston Spa office.

An essential requirement for this position is previous experience of working within a busy commercial property department.

Temporary Conveyancing Secretarial Position – Maternity cover

Pontefract

Switalskis Solicitors will shortly have a vacancy in their conveyancing team for an experienced conveyancing secretary for a period of maternity cover. This is therefore a temporary contract based at the Pontefract office for a period of between 9 and 12 months.

The ideal candidate should have experience of working within a busy conveyancing team and be able to complete tasks efficiently and in a timely manner with a strong commitment to a high standard of client care.

Duties will include:

– Audio and word processing;
– Use of the Land Registry Portal
– Completion of Forms and Applications
– Assisting clients both face to face and over the telephone
– Diary management
– File management
– Filing, photocopying and other clerical duties as required.
– The use of Mircrosoft office packages including, Word, Outlook and Excel as well as the Bighand dictation system and OYEZ legal forms. Knowledge of these software packages is an essential requirement for the role.

Temporary Conveyancing Secretarial Position – Maternity cover

Legal Secretary – York

Switalskis Solicitors are seeking a secretary to join their Court of Protection Department based at our York Office.

Previous experience in Court of Protection is preferable although not essential as full training will be provided. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, digital dictation Bighand (or similar), Excel and Microsoft Outlook are necessary.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Audio typing
  • Word processing and database management
  • Diary management
  • Dealing with client enquiries
  • File management
  • Filing, photocopying and other general clerical duties
  • Arranging external appointments / meetings
  • Monthly billing of files

Knowledge of the working procedures of the Legal Aid Agency is preferable.

The ability to work as part of a team providing a high standard of client care is essential to this role. Candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of client confidentiality requirements, and the ability to assist clients/other professionals in a sensitive manner.
