Switalskis Solicitors are looking to recruit two experienced Family lawyers with particular experience in handling complex financial applications. Both part and full time Family Solicitors will be considered. One position will be based within our Honley office and the second will be based at our York City Centre office.

Previous experience of working within a publicly funded environment is preferential for either position.

Accounts Assistant

Wakefield

Switalskis Solicitors Ltd are seeking a part time Accounts Assistant to join their large Wakefield office team. Applicants should have experience of working within a busy accounts department and the ability to manage their workload in an efficient organised manner.

An overview of the tasks this role will cover are:

• Downloading supplier invoices and recording them on our purchase ledger
• Making payments to suppliers by cheque and through our online banking
• Taking payments from clients over the phone
• Making and recording payments on various types of client files
• Processing staff travel expenses claims and preparing monthly expenses figures for payroll
• Checking bills to clients prepared by non-accounts staff and posting them to our accounts system
• All aspects of recording bills to, and payments from, the Legal Aid Agency
• Other weekly/monthly tasks as requested

Full training will be provided on each individual task however a strong working knowledge of all Microsoft office programmes, especially Excel and previous experience of working within a case management system is essential.
