Switalskis has opened its doors in Grimsby, bringing its award-winning specialist legal expertise to the doorstep of North East Lincolnshire businesses and residents.

With 11 established offices across Yorkshire and London, Switalskis has launched its 12th office at Fisherman’s Wharf, expanding its regional footprint and reinforcing its commitment to providing local access backed by national expertise. As well as providing legal services to a new market the move also ensures existing clients can access specialist legal advice without needing to travel long distances.

The Grimsby office will be home to solicitors working across commercial property , residential conveyancing , medical negligence and child care law. Clients will also have access to the firm’s full range of services, with colleagues from across the practice using the office to meet clients locally, including the Court of Protection team, which already has a presence in the region.

The firm believes there is strong demand in the town for specialist legal expertise delivered locally, particularly in complex and sensitive matters where clients value both technical capability and a personal approach. Grimsby and the wider Lincolnshire area represent a growing legal market, with clear demand across several of Switalskis’ core services. A full-service office allows the firm to support individuals, families and businesses in a joined-up way, under one roof.

The opening is also significant for local families as Switalskis’ child care team will now be able to offer legal aid-funded work in North East Lincolnshire, something that requires a firm to have a physical office in the area.

Both Ed Atkin, joint head of residential conveyancing, and Chris Gresswell-Green , a director in medical negligence, were born and raised in Grimsby and have been instrumental in establishing the new office. Ed says: “Grimsby is my hometown, and home to my co-directors. We have deep knowledge of the local community and its property and business markets and have strong partner connections in the area. Having this local presence will give clients better access to face-to-face contact, which supports our personal approach.

“Our Grimsby office opening is a natural step for us as we have existing clients in North East Lincolnshire. It reinforces our model of delivering local access backed by national expertise. We plan to create skilled jobs here and contribute positively to the area’s professional and economic life. I’m thrilled that we’re investing in the future of this town and the local region.”
