Seven Men Charged in Bristol Child Sexual Exploitation Investigation
By Joe Swan
Seven men have been charged with more than 40 offences following a major investigation into child sexual exploitation involving 11 victims in Bristol. The alleged offences took place between 2022 and 2025 and involved teenage girls who were targeted and abused in what police have described as a “complex and sensitive” case.

The charges include multiple counts of rape, sexual assault, and facilitating the sexual exploitation of children, alongside offences relating to indecent images and drug supply. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that the investigation began in November 2023 after concerns were raised about the exploitation of a teenage girl.
Four of the men, Wadie Sharaf, Mohammed Kurdi, Hussain Bashar and a 19-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court earlier this week, with the remaining three, Mohamed Arafe, Sina Omari and a 26-year-old man, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, are due to appear later. All have been remanded in custody.
