Rob has 29 years’ experience as a criminal lawyer and has advised and represented clients in a wide variety of cases. Rob is also a duty solicitor, and in this role he advises and represents individuals who are detained at the police station, and who are appearing before the Magistrates court.

Rob is a Solicitor Advocate, meaning he is able to represent clients in all courts, from the magistrates to the Court of Appeal, offering continuity of support and legal advice.

Rob has extensive experience in defending clients including:

  • Sexual offences

  • Manslaughter
  • Motoring offences

  • Possession of prohibited weapons

  • Successfully represented a man charged with harassing his former partner, acquitted at a trial involving multiple interpreters
  • Assisted in the acquittal of an elderly man accused of historical offences
  • Successfully appealed convictions for knife crime when court had imposed the mandatory six month prison sentence. Secured the release of one client and reduced sentence for another
