Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1991. His practice takes him into specialist areas of family law and he can represent a number of clients.
This includes:
- Children
- Parents and other relatives in public child law proceedings
- Advise on divorce in relation to a child's residence and contact
- Cases involving complex financial issues
Richard is also a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and is a qualified collaborative lawyer.

Richard is able to advocate for each client confidently and effectively. He ensures there is complete clarity, especially for clients who may not understand legal jargon and lets each client’s voice be heard and listened to in every case.

Richard has 31 years experience in child care and family law.
Richard was a partner and owner at Green Williamson Solicitors until they merged with Switalskis in 2012.
He has extensive experience in helping where children have been removed from their parents, are at risk or have been injured. He also has specific expertise in parental alienation and implacable hostility.
