More about Ewan
We asked Ewan: Q: What do you enjoy most about your job? Q: What can clients expect from you? Q: What aspect of brain injury law do you find most interesting? Q: What are your interests outside of work?
A: Building a strong rapport with my clients and supporting them through the often difficult journey of their claim and recovery.
A: Clients have said that I am “caring”, “hard-working” and “responsive”. I try to give legal advice in a manner that is easy to understand and relate to. Throughout the claims process, I also think of the wider impact that serious injuries can have on the injured person’s loved ones and explore ways in which the family framework can be involved in the process to maximise a client’s recovery.
A: I find it fascinating to learn about the advances in rehabilitation to improve a client’s quality of life. I think it’s important to keep abreast of the latest developments and/or have contacts to those clinicians who are at the forefront of rehabilitation medicine. This provides us with the knowledge to maximise our client’s recovery through their respective claims.
A: Playing football with friends and generally keeping fit. For my sins, I am an avid Sheffield United fan and try to get to matches when I can. I also enjoy reading thought-provoking non-fiction books and the occasional “binge” on Netflix!
