Danielle has over 20 years' experience in the legal sector. She is an Associate Solicitor in our Court of Protection Health and Welfare department.

Danielle specialises in Court of Protection health and welfare cases where adults lack the mental capacity to make decisions.  These decisions include where they should live, the care that they require and decisions in respect of contact with other people. She is also an accredited legal representative (ALR).

Danielle’s work includes:

  • Representing the protected party through the Official Solicitor
  • Representing relatives of a protected party
  • Acting as ALR on behalf of a protected party, appointed directly by the courts
  • Dealing in section 21A MCA 2005 challenges and section 15/16 welfare applications


Danielle is very passionate and robust about trying to achieve the best outcomes for her clients and continually acts in their best interests.

She always tries to ensure that the relatives of the protected party’s views are considered throughout proceedings and that the relatives are kept fully appraised at each stage.

Danielle has a clear objective in mind when trying to achieve the best outcomes for her clients. 


  • Danielle has been involved in complex and niche court proceedings with unusual issues 
  • Danielle has represented clients in the Inherent Jurisdiction
  • Danielle has a particular interest in section 15/16 proceedings
  • She is also instructed in section 21A proceedings by relevant persons representatives, directly by the Official Solicitor and also directly by the Judges presiding over proceedings, to act as ALR on behalf of the protected party
