Fee Earner - New Build Conveyancing Department, Leeds (full-time)

Richard Wisnia, Director & Head of New-Build Conveyancing, is recruiting for a full-time fee-earner to join the busy and successful new build conveyancing team at Switalskis Solicitors as the continued success of the team brings further growth.

Based at our Leeds office and reporting directly into the Head of Department, the role will ultimately involve running a caseload of 30-40 new cases a month from inception through to completion, with the support of a highly capable team.

About the role

The workload will principally involve new-build plot purchases (some involving the Government “Help to Buy” Scheme) together with any related residential sales, including those being dealt with by way of part-exchange.

The team also carries out some shared-ownership and retirement living purchases.

The Requirements of the Role

The right candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:-

  • Solid previous (and recent) conveyancing experience in a fee-earner capacity.
  • Good technical knowledge
  • An understanding of referrer relationships and integrity to maintain those relationships without compromising independence and client care
  • Familiarity with case management systems and good general IT literacy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Trustworthiness
  • Dedication
  • An ability to work under pressure at key points in the year
