In her time with Switalskis, Helena has been involved in many different aspects of Medical Negligence cases from handling initial enquiries, drafting witness statements, instructing experts to making applications for court. As this area of law is constantly changing and evolving, Helena finds that this combines the two things she enjoys the most – working with people and learning new skills.

Helena joined Switalskis initially as an Admin Assistant in February 2016. After a short time, she moved into our Medical Negligence department to work as a Paralegal and in April 2017, Helena began her next chapter within the team as a Trainee Solicitor. She completed her training and became a fully-qualified solicitor in April 2019.

A: I love the variety and complexity of Clinical Negligence cases, as every day is different and every client is different. It is a privilege to be able to work with our clients and try to achieve an outcome that will have a positive impact on their future.
A: I’m very honest and approachable and I will always listen carefully to what the client has to say. I’m also fiercely determined and will do my utmost to unravel complex issues and ensure our clients are kept fully informed.
A: In my previous career I was an Actor and Drama Teacher so I’m a keen theatre and cinema goer. I also enjoy taking my family out walking and I’m looking forward to travelling further abroad as my boys get older.
