More about Catherine

We asked Catherine:

What can clients expect from you?

Clients can expect prompt and professional service from me. I endeavour to engage as efficiently and effectively as possible with everyone I work with, and previous clients have stated that I am helpful and conscientious. My clients know that they can come to me with any problem and I will always strive to listen to them and support them meaningfully, treating the client with the utmost respect and empathy.

What do you love about your job?

What I love most about my job is helping clients to navigate what are often very stressful and difficult situations in their personal lives, and feeling that I have done something impactful. I have always been immersed in family law and feel that I can use my experiences to support others. I also enjoy working with such an experienced, supportive team who have allowed me to learn quickly and undertake independent work.

What are your interests outside work?

Having been a cheerleader for 10 years and recently the Captain of my University’s varsity squad, I am now a BCA qualified cheerleading coach and I run my own cheerleading team for local junior athletes. I am currently learning Spanish (slowly) as I enjoy travelling and hope to visit South America next year. I keep up to date with national and international political affairs and have written blogposts for Lawyers Without Borders, focusing on human rights issues overseas.
