Yesterday we were delighted to welcome Professor Wayne Martin of the University of Essex to speak as part of the MCA Webinar Series 2021. Professor Martin has spoken at our live conferences in the past and as always we’re extremely grateful for him being so generous with his time and providing such a thought-provoking presentation.

As part of his talk, Professor Martin also made reference to an important research project he is involved in, to examine the role of Human Rights in Care Homes. He invited attendees to get in touch if they work closely with care homes and would like to contribute towards the research. You can see details of how to get in touch and participate in this project at 25 minutes and 45 seconds into the video (or on slide number 17 from the slides below).

More about the MCA Webinar Series 2021

Our ‘Annual Review of the Mental Capacity Act’ conference has grown in popularity in recent years and normally attracts over 300 attendees. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to hold a 2020 event and decided to hold this webinar series for 2021. Our aim is to bring you the same great content from some of the leading minds in Mental Capacity Law, in a safe and appropriate format.

We hope to return to holding live conferences again in future but we’re very aware that webinars have grown rapidly in the last year or so. In the future I think it’s more than likely that we will run live events and webinars to share this specialist knowledge across a range of formats.

If you’d like to receive email updates about our events, webinars and training for Mental Capacity Law specialists, you can sign up here.
