Johanna’s background is predominantly personal injury. She is experienced in working on cases involving catastrophic injury and has assisted on multi-million-pound brain injury cases, complex fatal cases and on spinal cord, amputee and complex orthopaedic injury cases.
As well as working on high value cases, Johanna is also experienced in lower value claims from £5,000 - £100,000+. Some of the claims that she has worked on involve road traffic accidents, accidents at work, accidents in a public place, accidents resulting from a crime and abuse claims.
Johanna has been involved with some pro-bono and voluntary work:
Johanna is pragmatic and knows which points to push forward. She takes pride in providing excellent client care to her clients to ensure that they receive the best possible outcome. She is personable, empathic and will manage clients’ expectations.
Johanna represented an elderly client who suffered a hip injury after being knocked down by a defective gate at a garden centre. Liability was admitted, and the case settled for £65,000.
Due to the claimant’s reduced mobility, Johanna worked hard to secure funding for an electric wheelchair as well as securing a push-attendant wheelchair. The Claimant also received private physiotherapy. Adaptations are also to be made around the Claimant’s home compromising of ramped access. Given the Claimant’s age, a swift settlement was a priority, and by working collaboratively, we achieved a positive outcome in a timely manner.
“Johanna Caine was fantastic. She was very supportive and kept me up to date throughout the process"

Every day, six children are killed or seriously injured on roads in Britain. This equates to an entire classroom of children every week.
