Friday 1st February marked Children’s Heart Surgery Fund’s (CHSF) annual Wear Red Day, in which firms from across the region don their finest red garments in aid of congenital heart disease.
CHSF are Switalskis’ official charity partner, and we are proud to have turned red for the day to raise money to help improve the lives of heart patients and their families. Donations to CHSF are used for things as simple as a “Katie bear” teddy for a child, as well as purchasing life-saving equipment. The charity has also invested in water dispensers and a quiet room for parents to use whilst at the ward.
Throughout the week, we also ran competitions for staff, including a “guess the number of sweets in the jar game”, and “red day raffles” giving away all manner of red-themed prizes. Through our team’s generosity, we managed to raise a very rosy £295 for CHSF!
Special mention should go to Knaresborough-based Director Sarah Cookson, who really brightened our day by coming to work dressed as the Teletubbies’ Po! Please check out the gallery of photos of the day below showcasing many of our offices and some of the brilliant outfits. We hope that you feel inspired to take part in Wear Red Day 2020 and support such a worthy cause.
