Epic cycle ride by Sian Morris raises £1,200 for Yorkshire’s Children’s Heart Surgery Fund

Clinical negligence lawyer, Sian Morris took on the challenge of a lifetime when she took part in the famous London Edinburgh London (LEL) cycle ride and raised £1,200 for Children’s Heart Surgery Fund. The epic 1433km cycle ride has to be completed in just under 5 days.

The gruelling route took Sian and her friend, Esther Clinton, through some of the toughest terrain and cycling conditions the UK has to offer. From the near vertical hills on the A19 to Castle Howard, to the almost biblical rain and punishing headwinds in Southern Scotland. The duo rode throughout the night, stopping only to eat and snatch a few hours’ sleep.

“The ride has been an adventure of a lifetime. I’ve met amazing people from across the world, ridden through the most incredible landscape, and experienced the highs of rider-camaraderie and the lows of a debilitating cycling injury. I’m absolutely thrilled to have been able to raise such a huge amount for the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund that supports congenital heart patients in the Yorkshire region out of Leeds General Infirmary.”
