We are delighted to announce that on 1st October 2016 specialist claims Solicitor Sarah Tipton Walker was appointed as a director of the firm.
Sarah is the 19th director to be appointed at Switalskis, joining a leadership team comprising of 18 other directors drawn from the wide range of legal departments at the firm. She is also the 11th female director, highlighting the trend at Switalskis for nurturing and promoting female legal talent.
Sarah sits within the Clinical Negligence department, which is based at Switalskis Huddersfield office.

As a lawyer who is recognised in her own right both regionally and nationally, Sarah is ranked as a leading individual in The Legal 500 UK guide to the legal profession, where she is praised for ‘really fighting for her clients’. Whilst Sarah deals with a wide variety of Clinical Negligence cases, she has a particular interest in nerve injury and brain injury claims.
Sarah has been a member of Switalskis Clinical Negligence team since February 2010. With more than 15 years’ experience in personal injury, Sarah has a long and consistent track record of successfully representing clients in complex and high value clinical negligence cases.
Switalskis’ specialist Clinical Negligence claims department has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with the team being shortlisted in the prestigious Law Society Excellence Awards 2016 in the Dispute Resolution category. Department Head, Suzanne Munroe, has also recently been announced as a finalist in this year’s national Personal Injury awards. Winners of both awards will be announced in October.
