Leesa works alongside Director Michael Kennedy and assists Director Alison Kaye in the day to day management of both the Mental Health and Court of Protection departments. Over recent years, Lessa and Michael have developed what is now a thriving Court of Protection Health and Welfare team. She also has an interest in Inquest work where there is a mental health element attached.
Leesa has a varied role at Switalskis assisting on Court of Protection and Mental Health matters. She also assists in all contract issues, compliance, data protection, costs and management within the team to ensure that the team provides the most comprehensive service for clients, whilst maintaining good working practices.
Leesa is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

Leesa started working in the legal profession in August 1996 before joining Switalskis in April 2000. After completing our Associate Development Programme, Leesa was promoted to Associate in May 2018.

We asked Leesa: A: my role is very varied and each day is different to the next. Seeing results when you work hard to protect our vulnerable client base is very rewarding Q: What drew you to this sort of work? I initially came from a child care law background, however, when I came to Switalskis I found myself working in the mental health team. I am passionate about working with those who have developed a mental illness and assisting people who require our assistance when they are at their lowest. Q: What are your interests outside of work? A: I like to spend time with my three children, I am an avid Leeds United fan, I like to watch live bands and go out with friends.
