Laura qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 after studying and training in Newcastle upon Tyne, and since then has exclusively specialised in medical/clinical negligence claims. Laura has represented both Claimants and Defendants throughout her career, giving her a comprehensive background upon which to advise clients fairly and progress claims efficiently. She joined Switalskis in April 2022.

We asked Laura: Q: What do you enjoy most about your job? A: It is satisfying helping people understand what has happened to them, getting them the answers they deserve, and then helping them to move forwards. Also, every day is different, and the wide range of medicine we cover really interests me. Q: What can your clients expect from you? A: Calm, friendly and honest discussions and advice, and commitment to getting them through what can be a challenging and long process. Q: What are your interests? A: I have two children who keep me busy and entertained when I’m not working. I do manage to sneak out early several times a week to do circuit and weight training, which is balanced out by my love of food, wine and Netflix.
