Laura has specialised in medical negligence since she qualified as a solicitor in 2014.

Areas of particular interest are:

• Orthopaedic claims, particularly scaphoid fractures
• Surgical claims involving substandard surgery that may have led to a poor outcome
• Accident and Emergency claims, including missed diagnoses
• Oncology claims, involving delays in diagnosis or missed/incorrect diagnosis.

Laura is a member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) and is accredited as a Senior Litigator by APIL.

EXPERIENCE

Laura was solicitor on the case of Ramdhean v Agedo. The case went to trial. It set precedent as establishing that a dental practice had owed a patient referred to it a non-delegable duty of care. This was in relation to advice and treatment provided by a self-employed dentist engaged by the practice. Further, the practice would be vicariously liable for any negligence proved against the dentist.

Laura has run several complex and high value scaphoid fracture claims.
