More about Daniel
We asked Daniel: What can clients expect from you? An approachable, tenacious person who is committed to ensuring that their wishes and feelings are heard. Family members of the client can expect a sensitive approach and support by way of straight-forward explanations of proceedings to aid their understanding of the process. What do you love about your job? Working within the Court of Protection department means that we are continuously dealing with complex, interesting and challenging issues in relation to mental capacity and best interests. My favourite part of the job however, is attending upon clients to obtain their wishes and feelings. Each client has their own unique qualities, meaning that no two visits are the same. Given that most of our clients in the Court of Protection department are vulnerable, it is hugely rewarding to see them benefit from the support we give and from an improved quality of life following a positive outcome. What are your interests outside work? Before moving away for University, I was a volunteer coach for my local amateur boxing club in my hometown of Liverpool. I am a keen runner and enjoy hiking, especially in the Lake District and Snowdonia. I enjoy music, particularly indie/rock and go to gigs when I can. I like comedy and going to stand-up shows. Most importantly, I am an avid Liverpool fan.
