Burhan completed his LLB (undergraduate degree) and joined Switalskis in 2014. He completed the LPC (postgraduate degree) in 2018. Burhan then qualified as a Solicitor in January 2020 and has continued his work in the Medical Negligence department.

We asked Burhan:

Q: What did you do when you joined Switalskis? 

A: I started my legal career here at Switalskis and joining the Clinical Negligence team as part of my training contract as a Trainee Solicitor. It was a challenging, but a very interesting experience. I enjoyed working alongside experienced lawyers to help progress Clinical Negligence claims and engaging with new clients with the possibility of helping them to investigate their claims.

Following the end of my training contract, I subsequently qualified as a Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence team.

Q: What do you love about your role?

A: Intertwining the complexities of the medical and legal aspects of this area of law is rewarding as no two cases are rarely the same. It is an extremely rewarding area of law to work in as you can see the positive impact made to an individual and their family following a life changing incident.

Q: What can clients expect form you?

A: Clients can expect 100% commitment and dedication from the beginning to the end of their case. I also like to think I am approachable, which I hope helps put clients at ease so they can feel comfortable when talking about their difficult situation.

Q: What are your interests outside of work? 

A: Outside of work, I am an avid gym goer and I truly believe that a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures and of course the food! I also like to keep up to date with the latest advancements in technology.
