Christine Ellis recognised during Paces Sheffield volunteers week

It’s volunteers week at Paces and we are proud to announce that Paces Sheffield has recognised Clinical Negligence Solicitor Christine Ellis for her volunteering efforts.

Paces Sheffield is a leading specialist Conductive Education Centre for children and young adults with cerebral palsy and other motor disorders. As members of Switalskis Clinical Negligence team, we regularly assist children and young adults who have cerebral palsy and motor disorders as a consequence of clinical negligence. We can appreciate first-hand how difficult it is for them and their families to obtain the support and education they need. We have been fortunate enough to witness the excellent work that Paces Sheffield do and are proud to have supported the school in High Green for some time.

Paces is heavily reliant on public donations to continue their excellent work. There are many families within the South Yorkshire area and further afield who are yet to receive the resources that Paces Sheffield provide, and so we are committed to promoting and supporting Paces wherever and however we can. As a Yorkshire-based team we are especially keen to support organisations that provide vital services to the local community.

Head of the South Yorkshire Clinical Negligence team, Janet Baker, is a Governor at Paces school and a Trustee of Paces Charity. We have also been involved in several community fundraising activities, including bucket collections, races and raffles. As well as raising money for Paces Sheffield, we understand the importance of raising their profile so that those people who need their services know where to look. For that reason, we have also acted as ambassadors to promote the school and the charity which also provides much needed outreach services to families.

The most important part of assisting any organisation is that you help out where you can and where your speciality lies. Charities know that they can call upon us to assist in the best way we know how to. It has been a real pleasure and extremely rewarding working with Paces Sheffield and we look forward to continuing to work together in the future.
