At Switalskis we believe that everyone has a right to legal representation. That’s why we offer our clients a range of options to help fund our expert legal advice and assistance. We will always try to estimate the costs of your case prior to beginning any work, and we will work with you to find the best payment option for your circumstances.
- In some areas of work, for example Personal Injury claims, Clinical Negligence claims, and compensation claims for child abuse, much of our work is funded through Conditional Fee Agreements. This is similar to ‘no win, no fee’.
- We are committed to providing legal aid where possible, although it is not available for all the types of work we do. We can currently offer legal aid for a range of cases, including those involving child care proceedings, criminal law, mental health law, community care law, child abuse claims, and in limited cases for clinical negligence claims and in family law cases. If legal aid is a possibility for you, your solicitor will explain the evidence needed to check if you are eligible. In the majority of cases, legal aid is not automatically available. We usually have to show that your case has sufficient legal merit, and that you qualify financially.
- We offer a range of fixed fee services, so that you know where you stand. You may find a fixed fee solicitor useful in a situation where you need help with or advice on a particular legal process. Examples could be fixed fee divorce, conveyancing – buying or selling property, or making a will. However, we can sometimes offer fixed fees in many other areas of law. Your solicitor will be able to advise you on whether fixed fees are available at your initial consultation.
We also aim to provide regular costs updates and bills at regular intervals. This way, you always know where you stand, and can plan regular payments.
We make it easy to pay, any time, day or night, via our secure payment gateway. You can also pay via credit or debit card at any of our offices.
