Child Abuse Law team shortlisted for Personal Injury Awards 2014

We are delighted to announce that the Child Abuse Claims department at Switalskis has been shortlisted in 3 categories in national competition, the Personal Injury Awards 2014! This is the second year running that the team has been nominated in these awards and follows on from their success in the Personal Injury Awards 2013 where they took home the title of Personal Injury Team of the Year.

The shortlisted categories are:-

  1. Case of the Year
  2. Personal Injury Team of the Year
  3. Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year

The team has been nominated in the Case of the Year category for their work relating to the Rotherham child sexual exploitation case. Our Solicitors represent a number of women affected by the events in Rotherham, which involved hundreds of children, mostly teenage girls, who were sexually exploited by groups of Asian men over a 16 year period.

Director and head of the Child Abuse Claims team, David Greenwood, has been shortlisted for the Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year award for his work fighting to achieve justice for victims of childhood abuse, including victims of the Rotherham scandal.

David Greenwood commented:

“I am immensely proud of the effort my team put in to helping survivors of child abuse. This can be very tough and challenging work and to be shortlisted at these important awards is recognition and encouragement for the team to continue their superb work.”

The winners of the Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury Awards 2014 will be announced at a ceremony at The Grange, St Paul’s, London on 12th November 2014.
