Kate has vast experience in running medical negligence claims gained through undertaking a wide variety of cases including:

Kate qualified as a solicitor in February 2008 and joined Switalskis in November 2016.  Since qualifying as a solicitor Kate has worked solely for clients impacted by substandard medical care.

Kate is also responsible for assisting and training junior members of the team in their professional development.

EXPERIENCE

  • £1 million settlement secured for a delay in diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis.
  • £250,000 settlement following a fall in hospital which led to a subdural haematoma which eventually led to the Claimant’s premature passing.
  • £350,000 secured for a mis-prescription of steroids leading to avascular necrosis of the hips.
  • £500,00 settlement secured for a failure to reduce an ankle fracture to an acceptable standard leading to long term ankle problems.
