Rob Casey is a Director and Solicitor Advocate in the Child Abuse department.
As a Director of the firm, Rob has a key role in the Child Abuse department at Switalskis Solicitors, representing survivors of child abuse in claims against both institutions and individuals. He is primarily based in Wakefield, but often represents clients in cases across the Yorkshire region and beyond.
As the supervising Director for the firm’s Criminal Law work, Rob also ensures that the quality and service provided by our criminal lawyers meets the standards required by the Legal Aid Agency and Lexcel (the Law Society’s quality mark).
Rob is also one of a number of Solicitor Advocates in the Crime team at Switalskis and actively uses his Higher Rights, appearing before the Crown Court in high profile Criminal Law cases, including cases involving murder, manslaughter, and other types of serious and violent crime as well as fraud and white collar crime. Rob Casey is featured in the current UK edition of Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession as one of West Yorkshire’s “Leaders in the field” for Criminal Law.
Rob is also the firm’s Training Principal, and in this capacity oversees the training contracts of all our trainee solicitors, ensuring that the standard of training they receive meets the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
