We asked Linsey:

Q: What is your role at Switalskis?
A: I’m a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives working within the Family Law department at our head office in Wakefield. As a Family lawyer I provide advice and representation to people going through a relationship breakdown, particularly those affected by domestic violence.

Q: What do you like the most about your job?
A: Everything! Being able to help clients who are in difficult situations and don’t know where to turn can be extremely rewarding.

Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: They can expect a no nonsense approach to dealing with matters. I will always provide an honest opinion as to how a case is progressing so that they can have a realistic idea of what to expect.

Q: What is your specialist area of work?
A: I specialise in Family Law cases involving Children. I also have particular experience advising people who have suffered Domestic Violence.

Q: How long have you worked in Family Law?
A: I’ve always wanted to work in Family Law from the time that I finished my studies, and have worked within the Family Law and Child Care Law departments for almost 12 years.

Q: Which of your achievements are you most proud of?
A: I’m most proud of helping to raise over £25,000 for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation over the past 12 months by taking part in extreme fund raising activities, such as a 15,000 feet sky dive and walking the 3 Peaks!

Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: I train with ex-Armed Forces which I thoroughly enjoy.  It is extremely hard work keeping fit but the sense of achievement is immense!

Q: Do you have any sporting interests? Which teams do you support?
A: My favourite sport is Rugby League. I have too many friends involved in the sport to have a favourite team but do tend to sway towards our local teams – Wakefield Wildcats and Castleford Tigers.

Q: Are you active in any organisations outside of work?
A: I have been involved in many fund raising activities through the Wakefield & District Law Society, raising money for the Children’s Liver Unit at Leeds General Infirmary along with other activities with family and friends fundraising for the Childre’ns Liver Disease Foundation.
