We asked Kate:
Why did you choose to specialise in Clinical Negligence?
When I was younger, a close family member was successful in bringing a claim against a hospital trust. The outcome of the claim, both financially and in terms of the answers it provided, helped in providing closure and a new beginning.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Being able to help people who have found themselves in difficult situations, through no fault of their own, and enable them to secure a better future for themselves. I also like that no two cases are the same and therefore every working day is different. You are constantly building upon your experiences, as skills and knowledge learnt on one case can be taken forward to the next.
What do clients like about you?
I approach all cases with professionalism, honesty and understanding. I am there to fight for my clients in order to secure the best outcome possible.
