David Reed meets with individuals who have suffered child abuse to advise and assist them with claims for compensation.

A: Since December 2010

A: April 2013
Q: What do you do in your role at Switalskis?
A: Interviewing adults who were victims of child abuse, preparing their statement, assisting with their claim for compensation.
Q: What do you love about your job?
A: Meeting and helping people who have suffered greatly in their lives, helping them to get justice and recompense from the authorities.
Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: A caring, professional service, and excellent communication and listening skills.
Q: What do your clients like about you?
A: I am able to show empathy, and put clients at their ease so that they are able to talk to me about their unfortunate experiences as a child.
Q: What is your specialist area of work?
A: Child Abuse Compensation Claims.
Q: What drew you to your specialism?
A: Helping others. Career change.
Q: How long have you worked in your specialism?
A: Since December 2010.
Q: What did you want to do when you were a child?
A: Professional sportsman
Q: Which of your achievements are you most proud of?
A: Representing Yorkshire Schools under 15s at football and cricket. Playing football at semi professional level.
Q: What are your ambitions?
A: To continue to work hard, help others, and enjoy life.
Q: Do you have any hobbies?
A: Keep fit, reading, travel.
Q: Do you have any sporting interests? Which teams do you support?
A: Still play indoor 5 a side football. Like to watch all sports.
Q: Are you active in any organisations outside of work?
A: Coach for Morley under 11s cricket team.
Q: Please list any other interests/favourite things – do you have a favourite book, band, singer or composer, work of art or place to visit, etc?
A: Favourite places visited – Florence Italy, and the Amalfi Coast area.
