Clare Peckett is a Director and Family Law Solicitor based in Wakefield.
Clare joined us in October 2007 following Switalskis takeover of Chadwick Lawrence’s Legal Aid Family Law practice. She qualified in 1993 and and has specialised in family law throughout her career. She became a Partner of the firm in April 2012.
Clare has particular expertise and experience in dealing with complex financial matters on relationship breakdown or divorce. She is also experienced in child law matters, including residence and contact issues following divorce, and adoption.

We asked Clare:
Q: What do you do in your role at Switalskis?
A: I jointly head up the Family Law department with Bradford-based Family Solicitor Razia Jogi. As a Solicitor specialising in Family Law, I conduct family cases, especially matters relating to people’s finances.
Q: What do you love about your job?
A: The variety of people with whom I come into contact.
Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: Pragmatic advice. A good service at a fair price.
Q: What is your specialist area of work?
A: All aspects of Family Law, especially financial matters on relationship breakdown.
Q: What drew you to your specialism?
A: I can do maths, which most lawyers can’t!
Q: What did you want to do when you were a child?
A: Olympic 1500 metres champion.
Q: Which of your achievements are you most proud of?
A: Running every step of the London Marathon when my running club said I would never finish it.
Q: Do you have any sporting interests? Which teams do you support?
A: Everything, especially athletics, cycling and rugby league. I even went to a European Cup Semi final on the first night of my honeymoon, not many women are that lucky!

A: Wakefield Civic Society and Rodillian Runners
