Carole Spencer is a Solicitor in our Child Abuse Claims department. Carole represents vulnerable individuals in claims of abuse against individuals and organisations.
Carole joined Switalskis Solicitors in June 2012 as part of Switalskis Child Care Law team. She later transferred to the Child Abuse Team, where she provides legal advice to survivors of child abuse in claims for compensation.
As a Solicitor with more than 10 years’ experience, Carole utilises her expert legal knowledge and understanding of issues around childhood abuse and neglect to the benefit of her often vulnerable clients.
We asked Carole:
Q: What do you do in your role at Switalskis?
A: I worked in Child Care Law for the best part of 10 years but in February 2014 I transferred to the Child Abuse department. Now, as a Child Abuse Claims Solicitor, I advise and represent clients who have been victims of historical child abuse.
Q: What do you love about your job?
A: Representing vulnerable clients and those who have suffered injustices in their lives.
Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: A sympathetic yet thorough approach to their case. I think I am approachable and try to be available to my clients, who appreciate my straight-talking style.
Q: Which of your achievements are you most proud of?
A: My family and qualifying as a lawyer as a second career after working for 20 years as a paediatric nurse.
Q: What are your interests outside of work?
A: I enjoy keeping fit and supporting my children in their various sporting activities. I also volunteer in a local community-based café.
