Amanda Steele is a Wills & Probate Solicitor based in Bradford.
Amanda Steele joined Switalskis Wills & Probate team in March 2016. Amanda has worked in the legal profession since 1993 and has a wealth of experience helping clients plan for their future, as well as dealing with the legal processes after a person has died.
We asked Amanda:
Q: What does your job involve?
A: Advising and preparing Wills, Powers of Attorney and Deputyships. Alongside this, I assist executors following a bereavement, helping them to secure Grant of Probate and administering the estate of the person who has died.
Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: A calm, knowledgeable and reassuring presence to assist at what is often a difficult time.
Q: Why did you choose to specialise in this area of law?
A: I use to specialise in Family Law but over recent years I starting developing experience in the area of Wills and Probate. This led to me concentrating on this new area, which I found to be both challenging and stimulating.
Q: What are your interests outside of work?
A: I am a Trustee Board Member of Bradford and Airedale Citizens Advice Bureau. I also enjoy fell walking in the UK and abroad. I have climbed Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya and have trekked to Everest Base camp in Nepal.
