We asked Alexandra:
Q: Why did you choose to specialise in this area?
A: I chose this area of law because as well as being exciting, new and challenging, it is also vital. We help to make a real difference to peoples’ everyday lives, which is one of the most rewarding facets of working in Court of Protection law.
Q: What can clients expect from you?
A: They can always expect a smile and a calm, relaxed manner. Clients can see that I have a genuine interest in their wellbeing and I will always endeavour to deliver the best service.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
A: I enjoy engaging with clients, taking steps to help ensure their happiness and welfare. I am also interested in medicine, so I enjoy the clinical/healthcare side of this area of law. I find medical ethics and issues of consent fascinating, having studied this during my undergraduate degree.
Q: What are your interests outside work?
A: I enjoy the great outdoors and often enjoy hiking, camping and cycling. I also have an interest in interior design and upgrading old furniture. In my spare time, I like to read historical novels about the Tudors or WWII.
