Geraldine is based in Leeds
Geraldine joined Switalskis Marketing team in 2013. Working closely with the firm’s Marketing Manager, Rob Waston, and the Director responsible for Marketing, Ranjit Uppal, Geraldine’s role involves delivering a wide range of marketing projects to ensure that the firm’s key messages are communicated effectively to potential clients.
Day-to-day, Geraldine’s work includes working with suppliers and lawyers to deliver marketing activities (both offline and online), contributing to the firm’s marketing strategy, and ensuring the firm’s marketing plan is carried out effectively and on time.
Being part of a busy, multi-disciplinary firm, the Marketing team deals with a variety of activities, such as organising training and networking events, ensuring that all online content (including the website and social media) is up-to-date and on-message, organising advertising and sponsorship, and supporting the firm’s lawyers to ensure they have all of the materials they need to network effectively.
We asked Geraldine:
Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
A: The variety of the work – no day is the same – and adapting to the challenge of marketing such a wide range of legal services. Having worked for Switalskis since 2013, it has been a fascinating journey learning about the legal profession and the amazing work that is carried out by our lawyers, from high-profile child care cases that generate national media attention, to very serious and technically complex injury claims. Switalskis provides a voice to some of the most vulnerable people in society and it is a privilege to work here.
Q: What are your interests outside work?
A: I like to keep active, and enjoy hill-walking and indoor wall climbing, as well as yoga and swimming. When I’m not working or being active, I enjoy making things, especially crochet toys, while listening to podcasts or music, and I follow a wide range of bands.
